    The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism has been introduced at the University of Lilongwe in response to the shortage of professionally trained personnel in journalism. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree at the University of Lilongwe will take advantage of an exciting blend of professional and academic journalism training. Our degree combines academic communications theory and practice with hands-on training in media writing, radio, video and online media production and media relations. A wide range of skills catered to the demands of the journalism industry are offered. With these skills, our graduates are being prepared to enter fields like international communications, media regulation and public policy, print, broadcast, and online journalism, media, and public relations.

    Internal Auditing plays a very crucial role in providing risk management assurance and ensuring governance and internal control processesare effectively being implemented in both public and private companies and organisations. The demand for well trained and professionally skilled internal audit personnel is very high in the country and beyond. The University of Lilongwe has developed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Internal Auditing aimed at providing training in the Auditing field. The programme has been developed on seeing that the Institute of Internal Auditors in Malawi had indicated that there is a shortage of qualified internal auditors, and to be in line with the good corporate governance in both the public and private sectors.
