dc.description.abstractProcurement and supply chain management is fast becoming a very important area of study in the current competitive business landscape as it plays a vital role in organizational success. Procurement allows organisations both in the public and private sector to get the right products at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the right prices. The Bachelor of Science degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management programme is meant to develop and enhance the competence and knowledge that candidates need in order for them to be effective, accountable, economical and efficient in the way those they manage the strategic and organizational operations competitively. The program focuses on the core skills and is work oriented so as to deliver the program with more emphasis on practical aspects of the purchasing function and innovative approach to issues that are relevant in today’s business environment. Considering the environment and the needs of the target groups, the program is designed in a modular format to allow for structured professional progression.
